Self-care is important
This summer, I am embarking on a 21-day trip with my 5-year old daughter, Jane. I set goals at the beginning of 2019, and I promised myself when I hit all of my business goals for the first half of the year, I would reward myself with a vacation.
And, we knocked it out of the park. I hired a new Director of Operations (thank you, Nicola!) and Client Experience Manager (thank you, Jacey!), and I delegated more, wrote a new book Lead Like an Ally, and doubled in growth.
I am so grateful to do the work I love. Yet, I need time to restore my energy. Free my mind. Hit pause. Reset for the back half of 2019. It is going to be intense. It is going to require me to be at my very best
That is why I am heading West this July. We are going to Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Oregon, Colorado, and Arkansas to visit National Parks, camp, and hike. And, complete my goal of visiting all 48 continental states (ND, OR, and AR are elusive!).
Throughout our journey, we will be posting pictures on Instagram with #janemeetsjane. See, my new book Lead Like an Ally is a fable about a woman’s journey through Corporate America and the small setbacks she faces and how allies help her. The main character’s name is Jane. I hope it remains a fictitious journey that my daughter, Jane, does not have to endure. Yet, I know her journey will be tough. It will require bravery and courage.

Thank you for supporting my business. Thank you for following me on this journey. Thank you for being my ally.
